Everything else, handled
Independent inspections
Survey and sea trial arranged with independent surveyors, not ours. Your broker attends and puts the findings in context rather than leaving you with a list.
What happens at surveyFinancing & insurance
Up to 80% of the vessel's value, terms from 5 to 20 years, through leading marine lenders. Insurance is arranged alongside the loan.
FinancingShipping & transport
By land or by sea, anywhere in the world. We work with a range of transport sources and have moved boats to all corners of the globe.
Shipping & transportTitle & documentation
Titles, transferable registrations, liens and payoffs, bills of sale, closing documents, registration, licensing and sales tax, handled to the requirements of the state or country involved.
Repairs
Yard work coordinated before closing or after. We have access to multiple marina locations, which lets us service and store inventory on site for local listing clients.
Trailer assistance
Trailers sourced, fitted and moved with the boat where a trailer is part of the deal.
Where the money sits
Deposits are held in escrow
All deposit monies held on boats under contract are managed through insured bank accounts backed by the United States Government. Additionally, we are fully insured for all our business operations.
The broker uses an escrow account to hold the funds collected and to ensure any existing loan or impediment is paid off at closing. That safety net matters to both sides of a deal, and its absence is one of the real risks of a private sale that does not involve a broker.
We believe in honest boat evaluations and provide realistic assessments to build lasting relationships. Our goal is to help clients make the best informed decisions.
