1979 Jarvis Newman 46 Pilot House Trawler

This is a 1979 46' Jarvis Newman Pilothouse Trawler which was finished by Lee Wilbur. She has been used from 2003 to 2017 as a pleasure/cruising vessel after originally being built for dragging (never been fished) and then converted to research by a well-known Oceanographic Institute. With her long, wide aft deck (15'4" beam) she would be ideal as a dive boat. She also has a large towing bit and her transom is removable if used for hauling fish. This is a superb opportunity for one wishing to buy a highly regarded Newman 46 offshore hull. She's powered with a "work-horse" GM8V92N 300 hp diesel, FWC, and a commercial grade Twin Disc 514M Omega gear, with trolling valve. She cruises comfortably at 9.5 knots. Her fuel tankage is 600 gallons. She is currently being used for occasional charters for 6 and a live aboard pleasure yacht.
